Description
BYOP! Have a piece of furniture, a vintage chair or small table, but you just don’t know the process to redo it? Or want to learn a new technique?
You bring your own piece of furniture, then use any provided products in the workroom for you to complete it… (decoupage papers and transfers are extra)
In this workshop I’ll offer individual advice and painting tips for your project and piece of furniture. I’ll teach you the best way to clean and prep your piece, give you great tips for painting, explain different possible treatments you could use on your piece all while you work on it in the Redo Your Furniture workshop space.
All the Fusion Mineral Paint products, prep products and finishes and high quality brushes and tools will be included in this workshop to complete your piece start to finish. This workshop will highlight using Fusion Mineral Paints for the redo. You are welcome to use any of the stencils or stamps etc. I have in the workroom, however you can choose to purchase your own to use from the showroom. If you choose to add a transfer or decoupage paper, again, you’ll need to purchase those from the showroom too, to add to your piece.
The piece of furniture you want to work on in this workshop will need to be small enough to fit in the space. Basically, it needs to be able to not take up more than a small table, or a space approximately 3′ x 3′. A good rule of thumb is if you can carry it in yourself, it’ll probably work.
The piece of furniture you want to bring for the workshop will need to be approved ahead of time by me for this class. Please contact me to discuss the piece you have will work for this workshop.
You’ll need to touch base with me at least a week prior to the workshop date so that you can stop by the Redo Your Furniture shop to show me your piece of furniture. At that point, we can discuss what you want to do to redo your piece, ie: what type of finished look you would like. You may want to take a couple paint swatches home to get the right color for it, etc.
We will also discuss prep for your piece and I’ll tell you the necessary products and instruction to prep your piece for the painting stage. This must be done ahead of the class time!
Because of the time necessary for drying after cleaning and curing time for the primer, coming in the week prior to class is important so you can get it done far enough ahead of time.
The workshop is approximately 2-3 hours long, plus time for a quick furniture piece approval with prep instructions the week prior. Because your piece may be too wet for transportation after class you can leave it in the workroom for a day to finish drying. Due to limited space though, the piece will need to be picked up the day after class.
This is a small gathering of 3 participants max. (If you want to reserve a group of 3 for your own custom group time, contact me, I’d love to set up a date for you!)
All workshop participants will receive 10% discount on purchases made the day of the workshop, plus loyalty points to be used on a future purchase!
Maximum 3 participants in the workroom for this workshop at a time. So contact me and let’s set up a workshop for you! Even better, grab a friend or two and let’s set up your group!
Customize your workshop and schedule a date / time with me. Ideal days/times would be Monday-Friday at 1pm, but if those time just can’t work for you, we can possibly make another time work.
Refund policy: Due to scheduling, setup and the limited space available, there are no cancellation refunds unless you/we can find someone to fill your spot. If the entire group in the workshop wants to change the date, arrangements must be made with me at least 4 days prior to scheduled workshop date.
Covid or any other contagious illness policy: If you are sick, have any symptoms including fever, please reschedule your class for a time you are feeling better.
